No prior experience is required. All of our tours are beginner-friendly, and your guide will help you get comfortable before launching.
While sightings can’t be guaranteed, the Thousand Islands is one of the best spots in Florida for viewing wildlife, and our guides are highly trained at finding them.
Yes. Children ages 3+ may join in a tandem or triple kayak with an adult. Single kayaks are available for ages 13+.
We constantly monitor the weather right up until tour time. This includes forecast and real-time precipitation, lightning and winds. As tour launch time approaches we pay special attention to the current radar outlook.
If heavy precipitation, lightning and/or wind might lead to unsafe conditions we may go into a 30 minute weather hold and/or cancel the tour. Your guide will be in touch about 45 minutes prior to the scheduled launch time to provide updates. If we cancel we will work with guests to reschedule to another day and/or time but if not possible we will issue a full refund.
On our daytime tours, yes. Your guide captures complimentary photos during these tours and sends you a downloadable album within 24–36 hours at no extra cost. Unfortunately, due to the challenges of nighttime photography, we cannot offer this for our nighttime tours.

Yes, but we recommend using a waterproof case or dry bag. We cannot guarantee the safety of personal electronics.
Group sizes are typically limited to 12–16 guests for a personal, wildlife-friendly, and easy-to-navigate experience.
Gratuities are not included but are always appreciated if you enjoyed your experience.
Yes. Clear kayaks allow guests to see the glowing water beneath and around them for an enhanced visual experience.
Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that can get a little wet. We recommend quick-dry fabrics, sandals or water shoes, and sun protection.
Bioluminescence, caused by microorganisms (making the waters glow in spectacular fashion), is brightest in warmer months. Generally, from November through April this is not visible with bioluminescence being limited to comb jellies.
Single kayak limit: 280 lbs. Tandem and triple kayak limit: 425 lbs.
Please arrive 15 minutes before departure so we can check you in, go through a short orientation before launching.
Water, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, sunglasses and suitable clothing. A small dry bag with some towels is helpful but optional.
Our tours are designed to be relaxed and beginner-friendly, with gentle paddling through calm waters and mangrove tunnels.
Absolutely. All guests receive properly fitted life jackets, and wearing them is mandatory during every tour.

No. Bioluminescence is often visible even during brighter moon phases, and guides adjust locations for the best views.
