On the Water - Beach Side

Because Cocoa Beach has preserved both its beaches and the dunes next to the beaches, restaurants on the ocean are somewhat limited. Here are a few of our favorites:

On the Water - Lagoon Side

Want to watch the sun set over the water? Head to the west side of Cocoa Beach. While the east faces the Atlantic, the west borders the Indian River Lagoon and has remained largely preserved. We’re glad it has — those mangrove-lined shorelines make for incredible kayaking.

The trade-off? Fewer waterfront restaurants. But these two are our favorites:

Sunset Waterfront Bar & Grill
With a both inside seating and deck over the water, the Sunset specializes in burgers, steaks and seafood. Or have a drink from the outside Tiki bar while enjoying dolphins and the restaurant’s unique celebration of sunset.

A little further south but great views of the lagoon. Squid Lips specializes in seafood and even has a Raw Bar.
