Area Beaches

A great way to spend one or more of your vacation days is to relax on the beach while listening to the sound of the waves and watching the birds flying overhead. If you look closely, you might even spot a dolphin or two. Cocoa Beach has walkways to the beach at the end of most east-west roads, in addition to many oceanfront public parks. These include Lori Wilson Park, Shepard Park and Fisher Park.

A visit to Cocoa Beach would not be complete without a visit to downtown. Plenty of parking is available in the city-owned parking garage. There are many shops, restaurants, and bars to choose from. You can also walk to the end of Minuteman Causeway and be right on the beach.

The Florida Surf Museum is located right next door to Ron Jon’s Surf Shop. It is dedicated to preserving Florida’s rich surfing heritage through exhibits, research, and preservation. Physical exhibits in the museum are rotated regularly to showcase the people, places and memorabilia that make Florida’s surfing history unique.
